Lose Weight Like A Dude

The Psychology

So... I have taken to reading self magazine and in the November issue there was an article about how to lose weight like a guy. Women often envy how quickly men and shed the pounds and pick up muscle. We always heard how its the biology of men that always them rapid lose weight, but after reading this article I think that psychology may have something to do with as well.

Compartmentalize - men are known for focusing on one thing at a time while women like to multi task and that maybe a problem. Instead of trying to use 3 4 5 different methods to lose weight at once, focus on just 2. Pick ONE diet habit to change and ONE work out goal and stick to it for 4 weeks. This will help u stay on track with your weight loose plan if u only have two to keep track of.

Such a huge ego - nothing is more motivating than working out with a competitive person. Work out with a fit guy friend or an athletic girl friend. Trust if they know you’re serious about getting in shape they will push you. And most of all have fun with it, talk trash with them, challenge them, and try not to let them out exercise you.

Don't give a...- as women we care what others think about us. Men however tend to go about their day not knowing other people have an opinion. Adopting that attitude and flattering work out gear can help you throw self consciousness to the wind and concentrate on losing weight.

Keep it simple stupid - women have a tendency to over analyze everything. We need to know all possible variable do a research and blah blah blah. No wonder we keep putting off getting started. with men working out is as simple as getting up and going for a run. If you want to dance, dance. Do some crunches, do just that. Its exercise not rocket science so just do it already.
